geogebra Lesson: transformations of functions
With the increasing incorporation of technology into everyday life, it only makes sense that technology usage in the classroom is also on the rise. Technology can be an extremely valuable asset in the classroom, allowing students interact with material in new and often more interesting way. Technology can be incorporated in several different ways from the use of iPads and tablets to internet and computer programs, there are an endless number of technological resources. While technology is helpful in the classroom it can often be expensive, this is where free programs like GeoGebra come in. Free programs like GeoGebra give students access to helpful technology both in school and at home. GeoGebra is relatively easy to use and can be applied to various levels of mathematics. Technology often acts as a sort of manipulative for students, allowing them to physically manipulate items to investigate and discover relationships. A sample application of GeoGebra can be seen in the attachments below through a lesson on transformations of functions.
